Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

Quality Inspection & Planning

  • Lead and coordinate incoming, in-process, CMM, and final inspections.
  • Plan daily inspection activities and ensure timely completion.
  • Ensure final QC documentation is complete prior to dispatch.
  • Monitor product quality to ensure compliance with production standards.
  • Coordinate with supervisors for corrective and rectification actions.
  • Support delivery commitments through effective inspection planning.

Team Management

  • Allocate work and supervise QC inspectors daily activities.
  • Monitor inspection timelines and productivity.
  • Assign and track KPIs for QC inspectors.
  • Review inspection data and team performance regularly.

Technical Review & Documentation

  • Review customer drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Ensure inspections are conducted in line with approved specifications.
  • Resolve drawing discrepancies with internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain proper document control within QC records.

Training & Capability Building

  • Provide CMM inspection training to QC inspectors, operators, and supervisors.
  • Deliver Gas Rig testing training as per SOP and testing plan.
  • Train inspectors on inspection methodologies as required.

Calibration Management

  • Ensure all measuring and testing equipment remains within valid calibration status.
  • Maintain and review the master calibration list weekly.
  • Coordinate with calibration agencies and verify certificates.
  • Initiate action for replacement of rejected instruments.

Non-Conformance Management

  • Identify, report, and monitor non-conforming products.
  • Raise internal NCRs and ensure timely closure.
  • Escalate critical quality issues to management.

Traceability & Compliance

  • Ensure full product traceability (GI number, Work Order).
  • Verify route cards are properly completed at all stages.
  • Ensure only calibrated instruments are used.
  • Promote safe working practices and proper PPE usage.

Work Planning & Overtime

  • Ensure inspection coverage during peak loads, Sundays, and public holidays when required.
  • Monitor and manage overtime to meet delivery schedules.

Authority

  • Authorized to conduct inspections of workshop products.
  • Authorized to raise internal NCRs.
  • Authorized to sign inspection reports, CoC, and supplier documents.


Requirements

Qualification

  • Engineering Degree / Diploma / ITI

Experience

  • Minimum 7–10 years of QC/production experience
  • Oil & Gas or heavy engineering background preferred

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of production and inspection processes
  • Hands-on experience with CMM inspection preferred
  • Good communication and coordination skills
  • High attention to detail
